Focus strengthens for the future – Political Day 2025 in Viichten
At the Political Day in Viichten on April 26, the Fokus party successfully concluded its 2025 district congresses, validated the national financial report for 2024 and defined the key priorities for its 2025-2028 strategy.
The following members were elected to the District Boards:
District South
- President: Lex Schroeder

- Treasurer: Stéphane Nowak
- Secretary: Caterina Pellegrini
- Member of the Board: Jean-Marie Schroeder
District East
- President: Michael Ibendahl
- Vice President: Sandra Klaty
- Treasurer & Secretary: Franky Kleis
District North
- President: Nico Bellion
- Vice President: José Azevedo
- Secretary: Véronique Thielen
- Treasurer: Ralph Kohn
District Center
- President: Micah Dahlem
- Vice President: Sean Klein
- Treasurer and secretary: Caroline Quintus
- Member of the Executive Board: Mario Daubenfeld
The elections for the National Committee and the Executive Committee will take place in the fall.
In terms of content, because Fokus strengthens its profile as a party that cherishes civic values and rewards civic engagement. This ranges from the education and support of children and young people to our behavior as adults in society and our lifelong commitment to society.
Focus will therefore concentrate on five central topics in future:
- An attractive family policy for every family
- A society with values, from young to old
- Living safely, strengthening the rule of law
- A basic right to housing in a country that grows responsibly
- Demanding responsibility, setting a good example
Fokus exclusively represents positions in Luxembourg such as:
- A reduction in working hours for parents without loss of pay as an alternative to free childcare.
- A performance-oriented education system and compulsory civilian service.
- Judicial reform to give more powers to the courts of peace.
- An emphytotic building campaign to combat the housing shortage and ensure controlled growth in the Greater Region.
- Direct election of the prime minister and separation of powers with a chamber of mayors.
Fokus consistently places the commitment of young and old, respect for civic values and social cohesion at the heart of its political DNA – today and for future generations.
